“Gastro” as it is colloquially called, is an infection of the digestive system whose main symptoms are
  • abdominal cramps
  • vomitings
  • nausea
  • diarrhea

It is often caused by various viruses and bacteria which are transmitted mainly through contaminated hands, water and food.

Hence the importance of washing your hands well.

There are of course many chemical medications to reduce the symptoms.

Natural treatment

Much healthier and just as effective , is the massage based on essential oil (EO) of exotic basil (except for pregnant and breastfeeding women, children under 12 years old, people with cancer or a neurodegenerative disease).

Exotic basil essential oil helps with digestion. It will help to naturally rebalance the digestive system to prevent it from evacuating its contents too quickly via vomiting or diarrhea.

Use is simple

Every day until improvement, place 1 to 2 drops of exotic basil essential oil in around ten drops of vegetable oil (which is equivalent to a 10% dilution).

Massage the stomach with the mixture in a clockwise direction for 5 min.

Origin

Exotic basil is native to India , it is an aromatic herb that flowers at the end of summer. Known since Antiquity for its many virtues and antiseptic properties, the Greeks called it “ basilikos ” which means “ royal plant ” and its refined fragrance was associated with divine power and protection.

In Indian tradition , it is a sacred plant which Indians make an offering to Krishna and which is very appreciated by Indian medicine. Since the 19th century, it has been used mainly in gastric and intestinal disorders but also to combat nervous fatigue. Today, it is also a valuable aromatic. There are many varieties of basil.
