What is the fibromyalgia quality of life (QIF) test in practice?
This is a multidimensional test taking into account functional incapacity and its impact on work, evaluating the major symptoms: pain, fatigue, sleep disorders but also morning stiffness (often a reflection of non-restorative sleep), anxiety and depression. It is an easily understandable global test of well-being or ill-being completed by the patient (self-questionnaire) that can be completed in 3 to 5 minutes.
How does it work ? 10 questions relating to your last week are divided into 4 groups:
- Part 1 includes 10 sub-questions related to functional disability.
- The 2nd part tests well-being.
- The 3rd assesses the impact of the disease on work capacity.
- The questions in the last part test the symptoms 'pain', 'fatigue', 'sleep disturbances', 'morning stiffness', 'anxiety' and 'depression'.
The calculation of the score is done automatically at the end. You can compare yourself with the score of other patients.
