To provide a holistic and natural approach to the fight against migraines, we have chosen not to limit ourselves to the exclusive use of parthenolide. Our research team has identified and incorporated a rigorous selection of natural active ingredients recognized for their benefits in the management of migraine symptoms. Among them, coenzyme Q10, a powerful antioxidant, salicin, a natural anti-inflammatory, as well as vitamins B12 and B2, all known for their role in reducing the frequency and intensity of migraine attacks.
Synergy and innovation: MIG-RL (or HERBAMIG)
In an innovative approach, we combined these ingredients with parthenolide to create MIG-RL (or HERBAMIG ), a unique formulation aimed at maximizing beneficial effects while minimizing potential side effects. This synergy was evaluated through a double-blind clinical study involving patients suffering from episodic migraines to validate its efficacy and safety of use.
Clinical study: Methodology and promising results
The study included 129 patients, all diagnosed for more than one year with migraine without aura, and meeting the criteria of the International Classification of Headache Disorders (ICHD-3:1.1). Baseline data were collected for 28 days before the start of the three-month treatment period, during which patients were randomly assigned to receive either HERBAMIG or placebo.
The results revealed a significant mean reduction in the number of migraine days per month with HERBAMIG , compared to placebo. Additionally, nearly half of the patients treated with HERBAMIG experienced at least a 30% reduction in the mean number of migraine days per month, a result significantly superior to the placebo group. Importantly, MIG-RL was well tolerated by patients, with only minor side effects reported.
Positive impact on stress and anxiety: a surprising discovery
In addition to the beneficial effects observed on the frequency and intensity of migraine attacks, our HERBAMIG formulation revealed a notable ability to reduce stress and anxiety levels in patients participating in the clinical study. These results are particularly interesting and suggest that parthenolides, beyond their action on TRP receptors and pain, could exert an overall calming effect on brain activity.
The precise mechanisms of this action remain the subject of in-depth research to this day, but it is plausible that the modification of the conformation of TRP receptors by parthenolides contributes to a positive modulation of neuronal activity, thus generating a state of calm and relaxation. This discovery opens exciting horizons for the potential use of HERBAMIG in the treatment of other conditions related to stress and anxiety, highlighting once again the richness and complexity of the interactions between natural compounds and our organism.
Thus, HERBAMIG is not only positioned as a promising solution for migraine prevention, but also as a potential support in stress and anxiety management, helping to improve patients' quality of life on several levels. These results encourage our team to continue research and further explore the potential benefits of this innovative formulation, in the hope of offering a more holistic and caring approach to care.
Conclusions and perspectives
HERBAMIG, thanks to its synergistic combination of two plant extracts and other natural active ingredients, demonstrates a moderate effect in the prevention of migraines, stress and anxiety, without causing significant side effects. This formulation could represent a valuable additional help for some patients. However, further research and an improvement in the quality of the plants used are necessary to further optimize this natural and innovative solution.
